New building expands
production capacities
In order to significantly expand the production capacities, two new, ultra-modern production halls with approx. 14,000 m2 additional space were built at Winkler und Dünnebier Süßwarenmaschinen GmbH in Rengsdorf. With this investment, WDS has responded to the significant increase in demand for high-quality confectionery plants in recent years and is now ideally positioned to meet future requirements.
Special attention was paid to aspects of workflow, logistics and ecological sustainability when planning the halls and outside area. The spacious production halls are equipped with a total of 7 heavy-duty cranes and offer optimal assembly conditions concerning tools and segmentation. 5 hall gates and a special waiting area for trucks ensure effective and fast logistics for delivery and loading.
Regarding environment, the modern buildings consider the principle of sustainability in a very special way. Heating is done via the latest heat pump technology, which uses up to 75% natural environmental heat and thus represents an ecological and renewable energy source. In addition, the new building has an environmentally friendly photovoltaic system and economical LED lighting. Approx. 340 m2 of social area, spread over four levels, are available for the employees.
