25 years Winkler und Dünnebier Süßwarenmaschinen!

For 25 years, Winkler und Dünnebier Süßwarenmaschinen GmbH has been located - together with its sister company Maschinenbau Runkel GmbH - at the company headquarters in Rengsdorf/Gerrmany.

On April 10, 1997, the then managing directors of MBR, Oswald and Rainer Runkel, took the bold step of acquiring the confectionery division of Winkler + Dünnebier in Neuwied, including all employees of the division. On April 12, 1997 Winkler und Dünnebier Süßwarenmaschinen GmbH was founded Oswald and Rainer Runkel initially managed the business together with Roland Eberhard and Werner Daufenbach. Since 2000, Rainer Runkel has been the sole managing director of WDS and MBR.

The further development of our confectionery machines is still our greatest ambition today. WDS developments and patents constantly redefine the state of the art. Thus, we have developed numerous new machine concepts in the past years and have continuously expanded our well-known plant technology.

We have set ourselves the usual ambitious goals for the coming years. We will continue to drive forward the progress we have made in digitalization. We will continue to focus on expanding our activities in the area of research and development, as this is how we satisfy the demanding wishes of our customers. Furthermore, we also see our potential in expanding our activities in the area of active OTC sweets and supplement products with our sweetOTC label.
